  • How long is a standard skip hire?

Our standard length for skip hire is 2 weeks. If you need to hire the skip for longer then we would recommend calling our booking team on 0117 986 5275 and, depending on availability, we should be able to give you the skip for the time period you'd like.

If you would like to hire a skip for longer than 4 weeks please get in contact using the live chat or call us on 0117 986 5275.

  • What kind of waste do I have?

We've asked you to state what kind of waste is going in the skip. There are 4 main types; General Waste, Builders Waste, Household Waste and Soil/Stone/Hardcore.

Builders Waste - Discarded material from a a construction site. Bricks, Concrete, Glass, Plastics, Metals and woods.
Household Waste - This also includes Garden Waste, and can be bottles, cans, clothing, pulled out kitchen, shed and items. It must not contain hazardous waste.
Soil/Stone/Hardcore - Anything Soil, Stone and Hradcore. If you have a few tonnes of clay, or any other contaminated soil or hardcore then please call ahead of booking as we may not be able to take it.

If you are unsure of whether we can take your waste please read more about what can and can't go in a skip over on our helpful tips section.

  • What size skip do I need?

This is the most frequently asked question. The advice we can give is get the biggest skip your budget can afford. We often find that customers are surprised at how quickly they've filled the skip because they always find more items to put in the skip.

If you're after a skip to fill with Soil, Stone and/or Hardcore then the maximum skip size you can hire is an 8 Yard. If you fill a larger skip with Soil, Stone and/or Hardcore then it will be too heavy for us to take away.

If you'd like to talk through the waste you have with our booking team then jump on the Live Chat, or call us on 0117 986 5275.

You can also read more on our Skip Sizes page.

  • What to think about if you're putting your skip on the road.

When putting a skip on the road there are 2 main things to think about.

    1. Permits take 5 days to come from the council and if you're ordering a skip from us then we will need to apply for the permit ourselves in order for our public liability insurance to be valid. We charge £77 to put any size skip on the road, which includes the cost of the permit from the council.

    2. Access. If you're putting the skip on the road then you will need to think about our access when delivering the skip. If we're not able to get the skip on the space then we can't drop the skip.

Other things to consider are Bay Suspension if the road you'd like to put the skip on is permit parking or charged parking area. Please read more on our Helpful Tips page.

Our booking system is set to a select few postcodes. This doesn't mean we can't service your area. If you call our booking team directly on 0117 986 5275 then they will be happy to help.
